Member Forum: Martyn’s Law Workshop

Martyn’s Law aims to keep people safe, reducing the risk to the public from terrorism by the protection of public venues.   

It is not yet passed as legislation, the final details and scope are still to be finalised, however, this new law could potentially have operational & financial implications for your businesses.

This workshop will give members the opportunity to listen to key subject experts covering a range of topics around Martyn’s Law, providing you with the chance to ask any key questions you may have around the impending law. The speakers include:

The workshop will feature presentation and panel discussions facilitated by Phill Brown, Head of Risk & Safety. The workshop will run from 2.30 – 4.30pm on Thursday 18th May 2023 both in person at 32 Rose Street, London, WC2E 9ET and online via Zoom. This is a free event for SOLT & UK Theatre members to attend.

Please note, speakers may be subject to change. In-person places are limited, however, there will still be the option of booking an online ticket instead. Joining instructions will be sent closer to the time of the event.

Attendees who require a Carer or Personal Assistant to accompany them on the course can book a free Carer ticket by emailing events@soltukt.co.uk.

Ramp access at ground floor level (there is otherwise one step into the building).

Reception and conference rooms are located on the first floor of the building. This can be accessed by the lift or via 25 stairs. Accessible toilets are available on the first and second floors.

Assistance Dogs welcome throughout the building and to all events – the nearest park is Jubilee Gardens (by Embankment tube station – a 7 minute walk).

Hearing loop systems are available in the meeting and conference rooms.

Regular breaks will be scheduled throughout the day.

If you are attending online, closed captions will be enabled on screen.
