Theatre & Touring Summit

SOLT/UK Theatre’s biggest annual conference, the Theatre & Touring Summit (formerly ‘Symposium’) returns on Monday 26 June 2023. Taking place at The Brewery, London, the event brings together industry leaders from across the UK to highlight the issues facing the sector, and explore solutions to improve the landscape for theatre in 2023 and beyond.

Join us for inspiration from high profile speakers and discussions around the most pressing topics facing the sector, including recruitment & retention, skills & training, digs, data, sustainability, audience behaviour and the rising cost of producing and touring, followed by networking drinks at the Barbican Conservatory.

To encourage an open dialogue, this year’s Summit will be held under the Chatham House Rule (meaning you may share the information you receive, but not reveal the identity of who said it). There will be a limited number of press tickets available; please email ruth@soltukt.co.uk to apply for a press ticket.

This is a in-person conference. All speakers and attendees should attend the venue in person.

Programme and Timings

The full programme will be announced in the coming weeks, and will include a wide choice of sessions with topics including recruitment & retention, skills & training, digs, data, sustainability, audience behaviour and the rising cost of touring.

Accessibility Information

The Theatre and Touring Summit 2023 will take place at The Brewery, with a drinks reception taking place nearby at The Barbican.

Attendees who require a Carer or Personal Assistant to accompany them can book a free Carer ticket by emailing events@soltukt.co.uk.

• Both venues are wheelchair accessible, though there are limitations in The Barbican conservatory (information below).
• BSL interpreters will be attending each session.
• Hearing loops will be in place in all three conference rooms.
• The Barbican is 0.1 miles from The Brewery, and guides will direct attendee’s along the pathway between venues.

• Access Guides for The Barbican are available to read.
• The reception takes place in The Barbican Conservatory:
• The Conservatory is on the gallery floor (Level 3), reached via the main lifts. Automatic glass doors (120cm wide) lead outside from the gallery floor and continue down a ramp (1:12). The Conservatory is on your right, entered through double doors (135cm wide). The Sculpture Court is on your left, up three steps or via a ramp.
• There is limited access for wheelchair users and people with restricted mobility due to steps in some areas.

Refunds and Name Changes

Tickets for the Theatre & Touring Summit are Non-Refundable, however if you are unable to attend, you may change the name on the ticket up to 10 days before the event. All name change requests should be emailed in writing to events@soltukt.co.uk and include:

• Order Number/Original Delegate
• New Attendee: Name, Role, Company & Email Address, as well as any dietary or accessibility requirements and marketing preferences.

Any changes after this may be processed on a discretionary basis, though we are unable to guarantee this.
